DECEMBER IN SHERINGHAM

DECEMBER IN SHERINGHAM

Posted by Steve on 15th Feb 2014

Whilst the shop is now in its last month, we are simultaneously also thinking ahead to what comes next. The online and market manifestation of Cottonwood Home. Here are just some of the things we’ve been up to this month.

A CRAFT FAIR

At the beginning of December, we were part of a craft market run in conjunction with the Christmas Lights switch on. It was amazing fun but a bit of a challengel. A cold and extremely wet day didn't help. It has lead us to think, in the lead up to Christmas - indoor maybe preferable to outdoor. The English weather is just too unpredictable.

SETTING UP A CLOSING SALE

We set up snd started our Closing Sale this week, which felt a significant milestone. It mostly consists of stock we are not intending to take forward to either online or markets. There are substantial bargains to be had.

PHOTOGRAPHY

We are currently in the process of updating the photography and stock ranges on our website. Realistically, with closing the shop etc, its unlikely we will be able to complete the website part of that update till early in 2024. But all is going really well so far, as we reach the end of the initial photography stage.

TAKING A BREAK

We intend to take a well earned break over Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Returning to do the final winding up and dismantling of the shop. Which I imagine will be a time of quite mixed emotions.
